Karlos Excursions
Experience partner · Mauritius
Karlos Excursions was founded by Karlos in 1988 in the south-west of the island. Coming from a family of fishermen, Karlos has always shared a deep connection with the sea and has dedicated more than 35 years to creating authentic marine and cultural experiences around the Le Morne lagoon and Île aux Bénitiers. Today, Karlos no longer personally operates the boats but continues to coordinate and oversee the organisation of trips together with his daughter Virginia, ensuring that the values and genuine spirit that have shaped Karlos Excursions since its beginnings are preserved. The excursions are carried out by a trusted team of experienced local skippers all born and raised by the sea in the south-west of Mauritius. Their deep knowledge of the region allows visitors to discover this unique part of the island through the people who know its waters best. Karlos Excursions offers authentic sea experiences combining breathtaking coastal landscapes, Mauritian culture and a strong commitment to the preservation of Île aux Bénitiers. Guests can enjoy personalised boat trips, carefully prepared island setups, traditional Sega music and dance, and warm encounters with local people who share their passion for the ocean and their homeland.
